Privacy Policy

Bavardio, Inc.  ·  Effective July 26, 2026

Bavardio, Inc. ("Bavardio," "we," "us") provides a business operations platform for internet service providers ("ISPs"). Our mobile app and web application are used by ISP staff to handle customer calls and messages, look up subscriber accounts, monitor network and device status, manage support tickets, and coordinate field work. This policy explains what information we handle and how.

This is not a consumer product. You sign in with an account that your ISP or employer provisions for you. If you are a subscriber of an ISP that uses Bavardio and you have questions about your personal data, please contact your ISP directly; they control that data and we process it on their behalf.

1. Our role

For information about an ISP's own subscribers and operations, the ISP is the data controller and Bavardio acts as a data processor, handling that information only to provide the service under our agreement with the ISP and on their instructions. For information about the ISP's staff who use the app, and for the operation of the platform itself, we act as a controller as described below.

2. Information we handle

From people who use the app (ISP staff)

  • Account details: name, work email, role, and the workspace you belong to.
  • Authentication data: a securely hashed password and session tokens.
  • Device and push data: device type, app version, and push-notification tokens used to alert you to incoming calls and messages.
  • Usage, diagnostic, and crash data used to keep the app working and secure.

Subscriber and operational data (processed for the ISP)

To provide the service, the app displays and processes information the ISP maintains about its subscribers and network, which may include:

  • Subscriber contact and account details (name, phone, service address, plan, billing and payment status).
  • Communications: call records, call recordings and AI-generated transcripts and summaries, and text (SMS/MMS) messages between the ISP and its subscribers.
  • Network and device information: equipment status, signal and performance telemetry, and related diagnostics.
  • Support tickets, notes, and field work orders.

3. How we use information

  • To provide, secure, and support the platform and its features.
  • To authenticate users and route calls, messages, and notifications to the right person.
  • To generate AI-assisted features (see below).
  • To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve reliability, and to detect and prevent abuse.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use subscriber data for advertising.

4. AI features

Bavardio uses AI to summarize and transcribe calls, to power an in-app assistant that answers questions about accounts and network status, and to operate optional AI voice agents. These features operate on the ISP's own business data to help staff do their work. AI outputs can be imperfect and are intended to assist, not replace, human judgment. Where we use third-party AI providers, they process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations and do not use it to train their own models.

5. How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the service:

  • Service providers (subprocessors) who host and support the platform, such as cloud hosting and database infrastructure, AI processing, telephony and messaging, email delivery, and payment processing. They may access information only to perform services for us and are bound by confidentiality and security obligations.
  • Your ISP or employer, whose workspace the data belongs to.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

6. Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service to the relevant ISP, and afterward as required to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations. Subscriber and operational data is retained according to our agreement with each ISP and is deleted or returned when that agreement ends, subject to legal retention requirements.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, secrets management, and tenant isolation so that one ISP's data is not accessible to another. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly to any incident.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Because most data in the app belongs to an ISP, please direct subscriber requests to the relevant ISP; we will support them in responding. Staff users, and anyone with questions about data we control, can contact us using the details below. You can also manage push notifications in your device settings.

9. Cookies on this website

This section covers bavardio.com, the marketing website you are reading now. It is separate from the app described above.

We set no cookies of our own on this website, and we run no analytics or advertising trackers on it. We do not track you across other sites, and we do not build a profile of your visit.

One third party is involved. Our booking page at /book-demo embeds a scheduler provided by Calendly, which sets its own cookies in order to work. Those cookies are set when that page loads. No other page on this site loads it, so if you do not visit the booking page, no third-party cookies are set at all.

If you would prefer not to have those cookies set, you can book by emailing info@bavardio.com instead of using the scheduler, and you can block or clear third-party cookies in your browser settings. You can read Calendly's own privacy policy at calendly.com/privacy.

10. Children

Bavardio is a workplace tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. International users

We operate in the United States, and information may be processed there and in other countries where we or our service providers operate. We take steps to protect information consistent with this policy wherever it is processed.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
