Open role

Senior Software Engineer, Core Platform

Help build the operating system for modern service providers.

LocationRemote (US or international with US-hours overlap)
TypeFull-time or senior contract

You will help build the foundation Bavardio sits on. The platform that lets a service provider run their entire business in one place. You will work across customer operations, network operations, field service, and the systems that power them. Within a quarter your work is in production. Within a year you own a clear part of the platform that every Bavardio customer touches every day. You decide where you make the most difference and lean in.

The work

What you will own.

  • The foundation the whole platform sits on. Multi-tenant by design: every customer's data is isolated, and a bad day for one cannot become a bad day for everyone.
  • The core workflows of running a service business. Subscriber lifecycle, account state, plan management, and the day-to-day tools the operator's team uses.
  • Getting new customers onboarded fast and safely. The tooling that takes them from contract to live without a service interruption.
  • The data plumbing between everything our customers run. Customer records, network telemetry, field-side work. If two systems disagree, you build the answer.
  • Reporting that tells the operator what they actually need to know. Revenue, retention, where customers are leaving, what is on fire today.
  • The admin tools and self-service portals that the operator, their CSRs, and their subscribers use every day. If those feel painful, the rest of the product does too.

About you

What we are looking for.

  • You have shipped substantial backend systems in production where correctness, scale, and uptime mattered. This is a senior role, but we care more about what you have built and what you can own than your exact years of tenure.
  • You have built multi-tenant SaaS before and you know where the landmines are. Tenant isolation, blast-radius containment, the small mistakes that become big incidents.
  • You have shipped at least one system where money or revenue-critical state was involved, and you know how the bar moves when it is.
  • Ownership mindset. You write design docs because thinking gets sharper on paper. You own problems end to end. You talk to the people using your product because nothing replaces that.
  • Available for at least 4 hours per day overlapping US working hours.

Useful, not required

  • You have worked in service-provider operations, telecom platforms, or another regulated multi-tenant industry.
  • You have brought a large customer live on a new platform without disrupting their business, and you have the scars.
  • You have shipped industry-specific taxation, regulatory reporting, or compliance workflows.

Why Bavardio

What working here is like.

Founders within reach

You will work directly with the founders. Decisions happen in hours, not committees. Your ideas land in production the same week.

Customer access

You will meet the operators using Bavardio at conferences, on-site visits, and weekly product calls. The feedback is direct and the impact is visible.

Remote, with intention

Work from wherever you do your best work. We meet up a few times a year for in-person sprints and customer trips.

Health and time off

Medical, dental, and vision. Flexible PTO, and the cultural expectation that you actually take it.

Apply

Tell us what you have built.

Skip the cover letter. Tell us the substance: the most painful version of this problem you have personally shipped, and what you learned from it. We read every application and respond within five business days. If your background does not match every bullet above, apply anyway. We hire on the strength of what you have built.

Bavardio is an equal opportunity employer. We hire on the strength of your work and the way you think. Background, identity, and where you live do not factor in.
